    • Comment on CIA Documents Reveal the Science of Waterboarding by Hmeyers
Really, they should stop waterbooarding and replace it with a device that it is socially acceptable for police to use on civilians: The taser! Clearly the taser isn't torture. So they should just taser these guys until they tell us where Bin Hidin is. Plus would be valuable on-the-job training for cops to accumulate real world experience, like on how to handle a mouthy college student. They could invite John Kerry to stand by in the room as a doormat and do nothing while some conscientious objector gets tased. See ... really they do need to replace waterboarding with a practice approved and tested on US citizens.

Somebody else suggested this could be a move by the banks to reduce credit card fraud. To do this thing, you chip the hand and use a biometric scanner to confirm with the fingerprint. Easier and faster than swiping your credit card and more than enough security for the application. At first it'll be voluntary, the banks will draw people in with special interest rates etc. Eventually, these things become mandatory and sensors will be everywhere logging and networking our every move. That's when I go to the mountains to live in a cave.

#14 war den Uh yeah, detailed guidelines for something they've only done 3 times, go back to sleep. #25 amlorusso Shep, is the only reporter at Fox I can tolerate with the volume on. Those of you that would justify torture deserve a little torture yourselves. Why not waterboard each other!? Give it a try it's just a little water, it causes no permanent damage (save for that tiny little near death trauma to the psyche). Oh and please be sure you have a reanimation crew nearby, we wouldn't want you dying by accident.

the cop didn't actually stop his car... he told him to use the f*ing emergency brake. http://jalopnik.com/5489244/runaway-toyota-prius-driver-had-to-be-told-to-use-emergency-brake -come on, how stupid do you have to be to not know what a thing called brake (emergency - how conveniently named!) is for braking. having said that... yes, i'm european. i drive stick. a corrola.

mmmmm - Toyota have created a huge problem for themselves and for the dead drivers and passengers. A simple override on the chip that said - if the driver hits the brakes then stop applying power from either electrics or petrol engine would solve this problem even for ordinary drivers.

This guy should be banished from the roads permanently, for that driving display.

I can't please everyone, but happy that you at least liked the joker in the air traffic control tower. In my defense, I do all the designs while the guys are talking live via the stream 1am - 3am Mondays and Fridays. I wake up at 7-8am for work. None of the designs are done in advance. The longer i wait for them to talk about a topic that I can design the shorter time I have to make it. I try my best, but sometimes the timeframe gets a bit too short.

this video didnt tell the whole story, and your guys' comments show that. other articles about this story ive read say that the guy did try to put the car in neutral and it continued to accelerate. second, he was doing 95mph on the freeway out of control when he made is call. quick, your car is accelerating out of control, your brakes are burnt up, and nothing stops the car. what would you do?? quickly, you're doing 95!!...the only way he could stop it was the policeman pulled up beside him and told him over loudspeaker to engage the e-brake. that got him down around 50mph or so, which then the policeman got in front of the car and slowed it to a stop. these prius's obviously are dangerous and dangerous to others. i cannot believe that toyota has not told drivers NOT to drive them until this issue is resolved. i pray no one gets killed over one of the monster cars. and heck, the greenies said the hummers were the big problem!!! heheheheh....

What about switching off the ignition? just hold the button in for 8 seconds. or just press the Park button and it will go into neutral. No muss no fuss. The parking pawl is only engaged if the the park button is pressed when the speed is less than 7 mph. If pressed at over 6 mph the Prius will go into neutral and stay in neutral regardless of speed.

What is wrong with putting the car into neutral? The driver had the problem for 10 minutes, certainly this was an option.

I am very apolitical but what I truly hate are double standards and hypocrisy. This idea: "Waterboarding is no big deal, it's just some water up a nose... and it works". If this is the case, it should be used for interrogations of American citizens, particularly in cases such as murder, serious fraud, and child exploitation, and whenever supporting evidence cannot easily prove an individuals guilt by itself. Furthermore, it should be instituted in all prisons throughout the United States as part of the routine for incarcerations for anyone believed to be involved in a network of criminal activity or simply has knowledge of criminal activity. Either way, if this stuff is or is not torture or wrong then stop the double standard.
